A three-year-old girl had a lucky escape following a three-vehicle collision on the A120 near Salmons Corner this morning (Tuesday).
Two ambulance crews and clinical operations manager John Nicholls were dispatched to the scene at about 9.30am. One car had been severely damaged, but thankfully it's young occupant and the female driver escaped unhurt. The lorry driver also did not require further treatment.
The male driver of the other car was taken to Colchester General Hospital complaining of chest pains.
John said: "The fire service attended to make the scene safe, and the road had to be closed in order to deal with the patients quickly and safely. Bearing in mind the severity of the crash and the impact on the car, the child was very lucky not to have been badly injured."
