"Top class service" say patients
Results of satisfaction survey carried out in September by the patient tranport services of EEAST
A snapshot survey of patients who travel to hospital for appointments and treatment via the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) Patient Transport Service shows a high level of user satisfaction.
Questionnaires were sent to 672 patients travelling with the service in Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridgeshire on September 5, this year, of which an excellent 55.21% (371)responded.The findings show:
- Nearly 95% felt our staff were caring, considerate and
polite,
- 93% respected or patients personal needs and requirements
- More than 94% felt the vehicles used were suitable.
The number of patients who declared that they were "very satisfied" with the quality and level of service they received increased to 70% of respondents, 11% more than the previous survey. In addition, more than 30% of patients felt strongly enough about the service they received to write complimentary remarks,
Robin Foster,from the Trust's quality department said: "These are planned journeys people undertake from their homes to hospital or other NHS units for clinic appointments and treatment. I cannot recall us ever having that high a result in this category. Overall we have again shown that the manner in which we and our drivers perform is of the highest order and all staff should be commended on this excellent result."
